We are all Daniel Cui

In this day and age there is so much competetiveness in football, even at the non professional levels. I came across this video which is lovely and inspiring.  A student called Daniel Cui played freshman football (soccer) for a Varsity team. They had a really bad season and Cui ended up being the scapegoat for the team’s bad run of results. In this video it shows the support he received from his team mates and other students as they all changed their profile pictures to pictures of the fantastic saves he had made.

Daniel Cui’s confidence improved as a result of this inspiring action that everyone took, and the constant praise and attention that everyone gave him helped him become a better goalie.  In football especially the Premiership we are all quick to laugh and poke fun at players that don’t do so well, Torres and Carroll are examples of that. But if there was encouragement and cheering every time they had played even if it is only the club fans then maybe they would have settled sooner.
